The 4th and 5th grade pull-out portion of PROPEL Academy is coordinated and instructed by Kristi Wilshire. Students who have been identified as gifted receive 2.5 hours of instruction per week at Covington Elementary School. Each week the children travel by bus to Covington, returning to their home school when finished with the day's lesson.

Students receive instruction in creative problem solving, advanced research topics, leadership skills, critical thinking skills, and more. A small amount of weekly homework may be ssigned, depending on the skills covered and the time of year.
